Before scanning your computer for problems, Registry Utilities automatically uses the Windows System Backup and Restore utility to save a backup of your system and registry.
You can use Registry Utilities to create a restore point by clicking the Backup button on the left side of the window and then clicking the System Restore link below the button to open the System Restore window.
Then, click the Start Backup button to open the dialog.
Type a short, descriptive name in the "Name of the new restore point" box and then click OK to create the restore point.
After the restore point is created, click OK in the information dialog.
