To manually create a backup of your computer system and Windows registry, click the Backup button on the left side of the Registry Utilities window.
Registry Utilities saves the backup on your C drive in a folder called MyBackup, unless you specify a different location. To specify a different location, type the folder path in the "Please select the folder where you want your backup saved" box.
To select an existing folder, click the Folder button on the right side of the box to open the "Please Select the Folder" dialog. Then, select the folder and click OK.
Type a description for the backup in the "Please assign a descriptive name for this backup" box. You can enter a date or reason for the backup to help you find this backup again in case you want to use it to restore your system and registry.
After selecting a location for the backup and typing a description, click the Start Backup button to create the backup.
If you have typed a folder path in the "Please select the folder where you want your backup saved" box that does not already exist, a confirmation dialog opens to ask you if you want to create the folder. To create the new folder, click Yes.
After Registry Utilities finishes creating the backup, click Yes in the information dialog.
